KEEP THE PROMISE.

Build a rhythm you can return to: smaller commitments, clearer cues and an honest weekly review.

A dramatic promise is easy to make on a good day. A useful practice is one you can recognize, repeat and return to when the day gets difficult. Start by choosing the smallest faithful version of what matters.

MAKE THE PROMISE CLEAR

Replace 'be more disciplined' with a specific action: ten minutes of Scripture before opening the feed, a walk after lunch, one focused work block, or one message of encouragement. Decide what done looks like before you begin.

  • Choose one practice that fits the season you are actually in.
  • Attach it to a cue you already notice: the first drink of the morning, the end of work or putting away the dishes.
  • Prepare the space and materials in advance.
  • Write a smaller version for difficult days so you can stay connected to the practice.

LEAVE ROOM FOR REST

A rule should serve the life you are called to live. Account for sleep, family responsibilities, recovery and limits. Physical training belongs within your current capacity; the tool is a planning aid, not a coaching prescription. Asking for help and changing a plan can be faithful decisions.

RETURN WITHOUT A SPEECH

When a box stays empty, ask what happened. Was the action too large, the cue unclear, the environment crowded or your capacity different that day? Make one adjustment and take the next available step. Your value is not the sum of checked boxes.

THE SEVEN-DAY REVIEW

  • What helped me seek God with attention?
  • What made my responsibilities easier to carry?
  • What created pressure without producing useful fruit?
  • Who benefited from the way I used my time?
  • What will I keep, simplify or remove next week?

RULE 6:33 gives those decisions a place to live. Set your Seek, Train, Build and Give actions, run them for seven days and review honestly. The point is a repeatable life of faithfulness.
